Tori Spelling reflects on her experience as a single mother working in the theater industry.
The actress revealed in a recent episode of her podcast that her job often takes her away from her children, leaving them alone since she is no longer married to their father, Dean McDermott.
She also pointed out that her “non-financially consistent” income makes her feel like she’s constantly letting her children down.

Speaking on the latest episode of her ‘Misspelling Podcast’, Spelling revealed that her busy schedule prevented her from being there for her five children.
As a result, she was forced to rely on her eldest daughter, Stella, to manage things at home while she “worked hard” on a project during the final term.
“When I’m working and I’m gone all day, a lot of it falls on my 16-year-old son to really supervise the family,” the actress explained. Daily Mail.

Actress worries her inconsistent income is affecting her children

Spelling, who has been single for some time after splitting from husband McDermott, also reflected on the inconsistency of her income as an actress.
She shared that for most of her children’s childhood, “work was very stable for quite a long time,” allowing her to provide a comfortable life for them.
“I had multiple salons, multiple product lines and brands and was just a workaholic in an empire.” » said Spelling. “That’s when I had four of my children and they weren’t able to see another side. They were able to have a certain life that I provided for them through work.”
The actress went on to note that “all of a sudden things weren’t stable” and her income became “financially inconsistent.”

Now she feels like she’s “constantly letting them down” because the instability in her life has also created instability in theirs.
“I can give love in abundance, but they are unfortunately on this roller coaster with me,” Spelling added.

Elsewhere during the episode, Spelling revealed that she told her kids everything, even though she wasn’t entirely comfortable with the arrangement.
“They’re on this journey with me, and I can’t hide things from them. I have kids who are old enough to read things online,” the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ alum said on the podcast . “They read the false things, but they read the semi-accurate things and they read the true things.”
She added that it was also a case of “fight or flight” as a single mother facing “emotional, physical and financial” challenges.
“When life keeps throwing things at you – unexpected things – every day, you’re like, ‘Oh, I’m past that,'” Spelling added. “And then you have a plan, all of a sudden, boom. And it’s day to day.”

In a previous episode of her “misSPELLING” podcast, Spelling revealed to celebrity guest actor William Shatner that she was considering starting an OnlyFans account to help cover her children’s college costs.
