The CW initially found success in 2009 when it adapted LJ SmithIt is The Vampire Diaries book series. Two years later, the network expanded with Smith’s The secret circle. Set in the fictional town of Chance Harbor, Washington, the series focuses on Cassie Blake who, after moving to town following the murder of her mother, I found out she was a hereditary witch. and became the sixth member of a secret clan.
Although it became the CW third highest rated interpreter, The secret circle was canceled after one season. Fans have tried to bring the series back with various campaigns, but The secret circle has not yet been brought back.
Creator Andrew Miller explained where he I would have taken the story if given the opportunity.
“A movie, a play, a commercial campaign for crystals, whatever,” Miller said. Book Trib in 2012.”[Production company] Alloy [Entertainment] asked me if I was interested in trying a lower budget version of the series that could be made on Netflix and I pitched them an idea that I really loved and would have made in a second.
He continued: “After [Shelley Hennig]is Diana after the finale in California, where she was alone and confused and struggling between her good nature and the dark magic she had just accessed to kill her father. My dream was to settle in California, then bring [Phoebe Tonkin]It’s Faye who’s going to ruin everything.
