Kailyn Lowry begins a new chapter in her health journey after undergoing breast reduction surgery. The “Teen Mom 2” alum shared a post-surgery selfie on Instagram earlier this week, officially confirming the procedure to her millions of followers.

Lowry, who rose to fame in the early 2010s on “16 & Pregnant” and “Teen Mom 2,” gave birth to her first son, Isaac, at just 17 years old.

Now the mother of seven children – Isaac, Lincoln, Lux, Creed, Rio, and twins Verse and Valley – Kailyn Lowry is no stranger to motherhood in the public eye.

In a photo recently uploaded to his Instagram Stories, Lowry is all smiles, making a peace sign for his fans. In the caption, she wrote: “4 days after surgery… Do you want breast reduction videos?” and included a poll allowing his supporters to vote.

On his “Almost Famous” podcast, Lowry revealed that his doctors required him to lose at least 40 to 50 pounds before approving him for the procedure. She admitted that she was initially unsure whether she wanted a reduction, implants or a facelift, but ultimately decided that reducing her breast size was the right choice for her.

For Lowry, this breast reduction marks a step toward feeling more comfortable and confident in her skin. Fans showed overwhelming support for her decision, with many applauding her openness about the process and her candid thoughts on the physical and emotional aspects of such a change.

Lowry welcomed her first child, Isaac Elliot Rivera, in January 2010, with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera. Isaac’s arrival was a defining moment in Lowry’s life, as was captured in “16 & Pregnant.” Her second child, Lincoln Marshall Marroquin, was born in November 2013, during her marriage to Javi Marroquin.

In August 2017, Lowry welcomed her third son, Lux Russell Lowry, her first child with Chris Lopez. A few years later, in July 2020, Lowry gave birth to her fourth child, Creed Romello Lowry, also with Chris Lopez.

Actually, she recently welcomed Gypsy Rose Blanchard, the 33-year-old ex-convict who was convicted for her involvement in her mother’s murder. The episode explored Gypsy’s new book, in which she shares her heartbreaking experiences of growing up under her mother’s oppressive control and enduring the effects of Munchausen through vicarious abuse. Gypsy spoke candidly about her complex family dynamics, her time in prison, and the obstacles she’s faced since gaining her freedom, including battling addiction and learning to manage relationships while rebuilding his life.

“I’ve been working on it for about three years, the final part was being edited and that happened after I came out,” Gypsy told Lowry about the episode. “It was difficult sometimes because I had to kind of ask my family members for information, because I know my perspective, but I don’t know the big picture, so I had to talk to my family , I had to talk to my friends to get a lot of information that I didn’t know.

Gypsy not only opened up about her traumatic past, but also revealed that she had been anesthetized “over 100 times.” Luckily, she shared that she didn’t experience any noticeable side effects or long-term consequences. “I was under anesthesia as a child, so I didn’t ask any questions,” she told Lowry. “So all these side effects and all the dangers were reported to my mother and not to me” since she was a minor.

In her memoir, available now, Gypsy reveals that her mother knew about her addiction and substance abuse, but chose not to intervene. Instead, her mother allowed it to continue because it helped Gypsy stay close and under her control.
