However, Gadd had the opportunity to thank fans of the series when he and the Baby reindeer cast and crew accepted the award for Best Limited Series Anthology Series or Made-for-TV Movie.
“The way you have received this series means the absolute world to me. For us,” he said in his acceptance speech. “Right now, when the world is in the state it is in and people are really struggling, we need stories that speak to the complicated and difficult nature of our times. Every story, when done well, is universal, and all the strange and idiosyncratic struggles we go through on a daily basis are just as worthy of being brought to the screen as any other.
