The young media mogul, 31, recently took a moment to reflect on her ex while promoting her upcoming buddy comedy, “One of Them Days,” starring singer SZA.

Palmer and Jackson, a fitness instructor, reportedly began dating in 2021. She would reveal her pregnancy a year later while hosting “Saturday Night Live.”
Following a now infamous public shaming on X (formerly Twitter) in 2023 when Jackson called ‘True Jackson, VP’ star on a bodysuit she wore to an Usher concert – ‘It’s the outfit though…you’re a mom’ – fans began to fear that Palmer’s pairing with Jackson could be toxic.
This hypothesis would be confirmed when Palmer filed a prohibition order against Jackson later that year, alleging physical and emotional abuse.

“There is a [sensationalizing] it happens with this word,” she says. “But there are often no other words to describe such a toxic dynamic.”
Palmer admits that giving birth to her son was the wake-up call she needed to leave the relationship, “before it had a chance to become something I had to survive.”

For years, Palmer says she did what she could to make excuses for Jackson’s behavior — something she attributes to observing others while neglecting her own needs.
“You can say, ‘I know you’re not like that,’ or ‘I know it’s not like that,’ or ‘I know you’re a good person deep down,'” he realizes. her now, adding: “You can make so many excuses for behavior that could have stopped.”

Palmer also elaborated on the situation following the flurry of headlines stemming from an alleged conversation on the set of “Scream Queens,” Ryan Murphy’s 2015 horror-comedy series.
According to “Master of Me,” Palmer’s 2023 memoir, the moment occurred after she tried to ease tension between two arguing white co-stars. One of those stars – who Palmer renames “Brenda” in the book – then turned to Keke and said: “Keke, don’t do it. Who are you – Martin F-cking Luther King?
Palmer never identified the person, but says she never apologized. They did, however, contact the actress via Instagram to congratulate her on the book.
“I was like, ‘Hey, thanks, that feels good,'” she revealed. “She was just checking the temperature. She knows what she did.
As for Murphy himself who, according to The explosiononce yelled at Palmer for taking a previously scheduled day off, the producer has yet to respond to her claims — Palmer doesn’t mind, anyway.
“I did what I had to do for myself, and it got me in trouble with one of the most popular and successful men in the industry,” she noted, “and sometimes , succeeding can cost you the same. ‘”

Palmer’s new film, ‘One Of Them Days,’ took years to succeed
Palmer’s challenges in life and career have been paramount in the struggle to maintain his vision for “One of Them Days,” his first big screen role since 2022’s “Nope.”
As co-star and executive producer of the project, Palmer says it took nearly five years of development and four script rewrites before finally arriving at the finished product – a story based on two friends doing their best to stay hopeful and afloat in a world. where gentrification is quickly becoming the norm.
“I really had to be specific about what needed to change,” the artist explained, “what the jokes were going to say, what story we were telling about where these two characters came from. I was more than just an actor playing the role. I really cared about the project as a whole.
