Like her father, Tatum fought against dependence and, in May 2020, she experienced an almost deadly overdose of prescription drugs, which led to a massive stroke affecting her right frontal cortex.

She had taken a combination of pain relievers, opiates and morphine before a friend found her unconscious in her apartment and precipitated her in the hospital.

Tatum finally lost custody of his three children, Kevin, Emily and Sean, at his ex-husband, John McENROE, because of his heroine consumption.

Now she continues her trip to recovery, working to regain her ability to read and recently undergo an operation of the neck.
