After reading a healthy quantity of mixed criticisms, I decided it was time to check Alien investigationNetflix’s original documentary centers that claim to look for all the answers involving extraterrestrial meetings and government coverage. Hosted by George T. Knapp, the journalist awarded by Ufo -Obsédé and winner of the Peabody, I entered this special with high expectations because it starts with an attitude that suggests an admirable objectivity before finally turning into a series of interviews and galloping around the world to find answers – as long as they make the narration of Knapp, which is peppe mid-cicatri.
Although I cannot pretend to be a credible expert on UFOs (barely an enthusiast, by the way), the idea that we are not alone in the universe is fascinating, and the reason why I clicked on “play” in the first place was to see if there was a real firearm that would change mind anyway.
But all I had was smoke and mirrors looking Investigation Stranger.
I want to believe … in a better extraterrestrial investigation

I will not enter each case study raised in Foreign investigation, But rather attract attention to its narrative framework, which undermines its credibility as soon as you realize what is happening.
George T. Knapp has been fascinated by UFO plots since the late 1980s, and decided that it was finally to make a deep dive involving expert witnesses, such as the former members of several “three -letters agencies” which can only reveal enough information to arouse your interest before saying to the camera with a right face which is all that they can say at the time until the additional details become non -classified.
To make things more frustrating in Alien investigationKnapp aims to unpack mysterious events such as the 1997 Phoenix Lights incident by finding new witnesses to give the shots that offer no new information or insight to anyone who has already looked at an extraterrestrial documentary. Throughout its six episodes race, Alien investigation raises interesting questions about the possibility that extraterrestrials visit the land, as well as their possible motivations, but whenever real scientists are brought to execute certain tests, the results are not conclusive or simply do not raise any more questions because they need more time to spend research.
In other words, the “evidence” are shipped for the evaluation, but we never get a final response per hour Alien investigation concludes.
Suffers from scripted interviews

The biggest problem I have with Alien investigationThis is how if a figure of survey less authority than George T. Knapp headed the show, all of the documentary houses would not hold under surveillance (which he does not do anyway).
However, I must give credit where it is due, because Knapp has a dominant voice, and a strong understanding of the way of appearing convincing through his narrations because he has been a newspaper for decades and knows how to put a story together – especially on a subject that is so close to him. I also don’t want to soak him on him either because I have the impression that he really wants to find answers to the questions we have all asked about extraterrestrial life, and sincerely think that it is the work of his life.
But it all starts to collapse during the “interviews” scenes, which are so clearly scripted that if you have already watched a episode of Mountain monstersYou will realize that the only differentiation factor between the two intellectual properties is that the AIMS crew of Mountain monsters Includes the value of entertainment to have a bunch of backwood hills to research BigfotAnd look at the absurd of their show. Alien investigationOn the other hand, the right plays it, but always has the same kind of beats throughout its race, which gives the impression of being a high version of Mountain monsters With a better vocabulary (and a disappointing lack of wild bill).
Whenever Knapp interviews an expert in Investigation AlienIt is always with cameras from several angles, and it seems that all the dialogue is read of queues just out of the frame. For telephone interviews, of which there were many, I actually threw a pair of headphones and I launched the volume to see if I heard paper kissing to the other end of the call to confirm my suspicions.
My results were not conclusive. You will only have to look at the docuseries and to see for yourself.
Frustrating, right?
Alien investigation streaming on Netflix

If there is a reason to look Alien investigation on NetflixThis is his sixth episode, “Alien Identity” because he adopts a unique approach by suggesting that foreigners are in fact humans who travel in time of the distant future keeping an eye on their ancestors. But still, as interesting as this theory is, it suffers by being part of the same sensationalist framework which was established in the five previous episodes.
If you are like me and you find yourself fascinated by UFO documentaries, but you are not willing to do your own obsessive and in-depth research on something that may never be fully explained during our life, Alien investigation is always an entertaining and engaging investigation journalism. I think of all the documentation as a beginning for the people who are interested in the subject, but if you grew up listening Side by side AMYou will not hear anything again, and you will be seriously disappointed.
Alien investigation is an original Netflix docuseries, and you can distribute it with an active subscription.
