After returning from a late evening with a bag of McDonald’s nestled safely in my passenger seat, only to discover that the ranch packages for which I paid more about my order, I was furious. Not completely precise, but the feeling sounds true
The founder Is it not an in progress biographical drama in the sense that a lot of creative freedoms have been taken to make a more convincing story. More importantly, it is publicly known that Ray Kroc has always been a clever and calculating businessman waiting for the right opportunity. In other words, the real Ray Kroc was not necessarily the seller of an awkward mixer as shown in the film; It was clear as an accessory, but had not yet found its vocation, which led to financial difficulties along the way. The real McDonald Brothers, which are represented as always 100% with their original restaurant, were not as active in the daily operations when Kroc discovered them and was already close to retirement.
However, the artistic license taken to allow The founder Becoming an effective biographical drama is not entirely rooted in deception, but rather for its inherent entertainment value – seriously, who wants to look at two owners of almost retired restaurants arguing on contractual stipulations with their franchise guy and their lawyers?
Streaming the founder
In this spirit, The founder is an excellent watch because Michael Keaton is equally visible and charming, which is a fantastic contrast with Nick Offermans and McDonald Brothers of John Carroll Lynch, who were equally meticulous and kept.
As Keaton, Ray Kroc, lifts the eyebrow after having experienced their restaurant, you see the fire in the eyes that puts the rest of the film in motion, and if the exchanges The founder are actually rooted in fact or in fiction are completely out of words because the personalities in question, to my knowledge, are quite perfect.
But what do I know? I was not there. I’m just a guy using a brand ranch for my fries and my French nuggets who ask questions.
