There was a controversy or, more specifically, a mockery involving “a film minecraft” before its release. This was particularly the case with regard to the casting of Black as Steve, one of the only notable characters appointed at the start of the “Minecraft” video game universe. This version of Steve was not a character with a background frame or a personality; It is simply the default “male” player avatar by default. Over time, Steve has become the face of the “Minecraft” media, and he can be seen on a large part of the goods of the franchise around the world. Nevertheless, having Black Play Steve was considered somewhat ridiculous by the (major) community “Minecraft”. It would be like doing the Sirène du Logo Starbucks in a film character.

Fortunately, “A film minecraft” is – shocking – not so bad. Even Black is looming well, relying on his usual shtick.

There was, in particular, also a “female” player avatar added to the game “Minecraft” in 2014. This new avatar, Alex, had long red hair and a green blouse. Alex, like Steve, had no personality, but her simple presence made her equal to her “male” counterpart. Fan-fiction trains were quickly produced, taking out the relationship between Steve and Alex. Were they brothers and sisters? Friends? Lover? Are Alex and Steve symbols for Adam and Eve?

Anyway, if Hess’s film receives a sequel (and it will probably be given The success of “a film minecraft”), Alex will play a role. Black and McKinnon are hilarious actors, so it will be fun to see them play in a fanciful “minecraft” universe. He will also fill a new vital character in the minds of “minecraft” players. You can’t have Steve without Alex.

More recently, other default skins appointed have been added to “Minecraft”, notably Sunny, Kai, Makena, Zuri, Efe, Ari and Noor. Again, none of them has real stories or personalities, but it’s nice to see a wider panoply of humanity in the game with a block. Perhaps if Alex appears in “another film Minecraft” (or how he ends up being called), then these other seven will also be.
