When I looked for the genre code for adult animation on Netflix (11881, you are welcome) and you saw Agent Elvis, I knew I had to check it because it is a premise so ridiculous to get late. When I discovered that Matthew McConaughey portrays the King of Rock N ‘Roll himself, and is accompanied by a cocaine addicted chimpanzee expressed by Tom Kenny (yeah .. Spongebob), I knew that I had to search the series during the weekend, and I am happy to have done.
But here the thing Whether you have to know a sitcom animated following the exploits of Elvis Presley Moonlighting as a secret agent with his Primate partner to protect the world from a certain misfortune: he ages fairly quickly.
Don’t get me wrong, Agent Elvis is objectively hilarious and has an absolutely stacked cast, but when you reach the sixth episode, you only remain for their chemistry – not for narration.
Rock N ‘Roll Rundown
As the title suggests, Agent Elvis Speaks about the top secret life that Elvis Presley has experienced as a spy. Accompanied by his driving stuntman or Die, Bobby Ray (Johnny Knoxville), and always discouraged by his figure and mother, Bertie (Niecy Nash), Elvis and his pet chimpanzee, Scatter (Tom Kenny), give a kick and take names, but only before making their Skyhigh operation.
When Elvis crosses Cece Ryder (Kaitlin Olson), an agent working for the commander (Don Cheadle), he sent a wild goose prosecution discovering the theories of the popular conspiracy of the time, and hunting notorious criminals like Charles Manshsh Stanley Kubrick (Dee Bradley Baker).
Equal hilarious and frustrating parts
As I said, Agent Elvis is completely ridiculous, and you will want to burn throughout its first and unique season for the chemistry of the actors and the animation sequences full of action. Benefiting from a retro animation style which is so vibrant and fast, there is no shortage of entertainment while Elvis Presley shoots first and asks questions later, disperse the trebles on the drugs on which he can put his hand before rating essential, and Cece falls into the scene in his leather combination to spoil the mission in question.

Thanks to his dark sense of humor, his attentive eye for animated violence and his elegant cinematography, Agent Elvis is an interesting unique company in which each scene is filled with a huge amount of talent, but its premise of a note leaves much to be desired. If I had his say, Agent Elvis would have made an excellent featurette with a tighter execution time, but the version that we have obtained exhausts its welcome because the series begins with a blow and can only degenerate so far before losing the intrigue. But still, watching the back to back series with Bubba host is not necessarily a bad idea either.
Agent Elvis is an original Netflix and can be broadcast on the platform with an active subscription.
