I finally started watching Beautiful a fear After months of mental preparation because who has time for a three -hour film? I have always been a defender of the 90 -minute execution because why play with the structure in three acts? Why should I watch something double what I am ready to endure when I know it is possible to make cuts without sacrificing the narration?
Well, I would like to have answers, but after watching Beautiful a fearI can assure you that the juice is worth it. Is the juice good for you or bad for you, ask yourself? I am not entirely sure, but it is definitely a juice that will make you sit in a quiet contemplation after consumption because there is a lot to unpack here.
Freud Rose: dark side of your mom

Beautiful a fear is – at least I think it is – a linear story according to his titular character, Beau Wasserman (Joaquin Phoenix). An average man suffering from a debilitating anxious disorder, beautiful, saw a series of unhappy events which prevent him from visiting his mother, Mona (Patti Lupone), in a timely manner. After calling the mobile phone of his mother to apologize, beautiful is horrified when a UPS man resumes at the other end, explaining how he has just placed a package, and that the person he believes to be Mona was crushed in a bizarre chandelier accident.
Running the clock to go to the funeral of his mother, beautiful, who has just started to take new drugs prescribed by his therapist, Jeremy (Stephen McKinley Henderson), rushes frantically through the door of this apartment, completely unconscious of the series of disasters that await him.
Of Run Ins with the violent homeless community In his neighborhood, to the dysfunctional family that takes him after being struck by a truck (and also stabbed), Beau’s journey Beautiful a fear is responsible for adult anxiety and hallucinogenic revelations that will not make sense for you as a spectator, but feel too real if we consider the fragile perspective of our hero while he walks in an enchanted forest occupied by itinerant actors who want him to look at a play that is not uncertain a fantastic version of his own life story.
Style and substance intersect

What makes Beautiful a fear The work so well is to what extent each transition from the scene to the stage is shocking but not revealing from the scene to the scene. Sitting to a man on the verge of a psychotic break with an undesirable reaction to his drugs? Or is his anxiety justified because the world in which he lives is absolutely crazy and full of certified madmen who try to help him, according to the meeting?
Honestly, I don’t have the answer to these questions, but I can assure you that watching Beautiful a fear is a totally visceral, stimulating and cathartic experience that does not seem to worry about giving you an easy answer. However, like the painful journey of beautiful and heavy through the city, Wilderness, and his own psyche can be, his sense of humor will make you laugh at the most unexpected moments.

At least for me, looking Joaquin Phoenix Being attacked by a homeless in his bathtub and getting out of his completely naked apartment, only so that the cops throw their hands as if to say: “not another”, made me roll for a hot minute because of the way he seriously portrays a man who held his own anxiety having what I would consider as a very reasonable reaction to his insanted entourage.
That’s it, looking at Beautiful a fear is an exhausting business, but it is so fun along the way that it barely looks like a three -hour film.
