“Hey, Tim Dillion, I’m much better now than the ladies are back from space, thank you,” joked Rogan at the start of the podcast.

“It was very deep. I don’t know if you saw Katy Perry talking about it,” he said, making fun of the philosophical vision of the singer of the suborbital flight. “It is essentially a guru now.”

Rogan also targeted Perry’s decision to bring a daisy on board, which she proudly displayed during the microgravity float in the capsule.

“She brought a daisy, which is super important. It shows you how fast the flight was,” he joked, according to the New York Post. “The dead Marguerite which is as a cut off from its source of life was always alive or even dynamic.”

Rogan continued to dismantle the brief spatial adventure of Perry, questioning the legitimacy of the labeling of blue passengers as astronauts after their 11 -minute flight which has just embracing the edge of the space before returning to Texas.

Slamant the comparison with traditional astronauts, Rogan said: “Let’s celebrate female astronauts because many men’s astronauts must go to school, they must first be pilots, then they must join the air force or the navy, then be appointed by NASA.”

Dillon stressed that women have long been a presence in space, to which Rogan responded sarcastically: “Do not minimize this”.

“They essentially reached the space threshold,” continued Rogan. “They did not arrive like a path where the start of the school year is very traumatic. How great it is called astronauts?”

Despite criticism, Rogan admitted that it would be open to a similar experience. “I wouldn’t go into space, but I would do 80 miles,” he said.

Transport Secretary Sean Duffy also weighed on the issue, echoing skepticism on titles.

“The crew which flew away for the space this week on a flight automated by Blue Origin was courageous and glamorous, but you cannot identify yourself as an astronaut. They do not meet the criteria of the faa astronaut,” he said, pointing to the FAA guidelines which describe strict criteria for the vision of this title in the sales program of the spatial astronaut wings.

According to the FAA, crew members must carry out “activities during the essential flight to public security, or contributed to the safety of human space flights”.

Although the crew did not meet the official criteria to be classified as astronauts, Duffy has always applauded the wider realization.

In a follow -up declaration, he described the mission as “an inspiring project which presents American ingenuity and exceptionalism”.
