In a deeply personal Instagram publication, Emma spoke of the moment that changes the life that has redefined everything for her family.

She also revealed the cover of her next book alongside a touching photo in black and white of her with her husband Bruce.

The book, she explained, was born from the emotional whirlwind which followed the diagnosis of Bruce with Aphasia, which was then diagnosed as a frontotemporal dementia.

“Born from sorrow, shaped by love and guided by a goal,” she wrote. “This is the book I needed when Bruce was diagnosed for the first time and I was frozen with fear and uncertainty.”

Entitled “Journey unexpected”, Emma added: “This is the book I trust will help the next caregiver. It is filled with support, insight and hope necessary to sail in this trip. ”

In a follow -up article, Emma shared a powerful message: “I wrote the book I want someone to place in my hands the day we got the diagnosis. This book is for all of us making our way through the unknown with love, grain and courage. You are not alone.”

“The Foret Journey” is scheduled for September 9, just before the World FTD Awareness Week (September 21-28), and will be published in the imprint of Maria Shriver, The Open Field.

According to the description of the book, Emma left the doctor’s office that day, and “everything that was given to them was a brochure and said to come back in a few months. Without hope or direction ”.
