American rapper Lizzo shared his thoughts on TikTok Prohibition in America and his theories about it.
On Friday, the Supreme Court upheld federal law that effectively banned the social media app in the United States.
The law took effect on Sunday, meaning the millions of Americans who used TikTok can no longer access it.

Lizzo mourns the death of TikTok
TikTok was a social media app known for its trending and hilarious videos. Thus, the rapper Lizzo could not help but refer to a recent trend on the application to react to its ban in the United States.
The “Truth Hurts” singer took to her Instagram page to share a message lamenting the death of the app.
She published an obituary from a TikTok user who read: “In Loving Memory, Takesha “TikTok” Woods.”
The obituary also listed TikTok’s funeral on January 19, sunrise in September 2016, and sunset in January 2024.
In the post’s caption, Lizzo wrote, “They really took her… MY SHAYLA.”
Many Lizzo fans found Lizzo’s post hilarious and took turns lamenting TikTok’s ban in the United States.

Lizzo Shares Her Theories After TikTok Ban

She shared a photo of herself in a hammock and added a caption referencing recent events around the world.
Lizzo wrote: “UFOs are hovering over the ocean, Trump is president, the planets are literally about to align, they have discovered multiple dimensions.”
The rapper added: “A spaceship exploded over the Gulf of Mexico, TikTok is ending?! The moon has been full all week.”

Lizzo suggests ‘the government likes to see us stressed’
In another post before the TikTok ban took effect, Lizzo criticized the U.S. government, although she expressed optimism that the social media app “would be saved.”
She said by The American sun“I know everything that’s going on, but you know how mentally abusive people like to say things to scare you and make you feel deprived and get some kind of sick, twisted gratification from it?”
Lizzo asked, “Don’t you think the government likes to see us stressed and scared and fearful? It really is. So no, I’m choosing not to be afraid right now. I’m not afraid. “
The “Tempo” rapper also shared a video from TikTok user Atheisticdeist, which shows a man questioning why the US Congress chose to ban TikTok instead of solving a plethora of issues affecting citizens.

Influencers share their latest posts on TikTok

Heidi Montag chose to be playful in her latest post on the app. She shared a video in which she shouted, “They say there’s only five minutes left of TikTok! Oh no, what are we going to do? No, no, no.”
Montag added: “Please Jesus, we need this, help our family, please God.”
Social media influencer Kelsey Pumel shared an emotional video titled “Goodbye Free Speech.” In the clip, she blasted the federal government for focusing on the wrong things.
Pumel said: “I still can’t get over the fact that the government literally cares more about an app that has not been proven to pose any of the threats our country claims to pose due to the fact that children are literally put in danger. [killed] in school, the health care epidemic, the inability to find housing, the homeless population.”
Meanwhile, Madilynn Cameron, who has a huge following on the app, called for calm and expressed hope that outgoing President Joe Biden or President-elect Donald Trump would intervene.

Cameron’s hope for government intervention appears to be coming true as President-elect Donald Trump shared a post via Truth Socialcalling for an extension of the deadline before the federal law banning TikTok takes effect.
He wrote: “I ask companies not to let TikTok remain in the dark! I will issue an executive order on Monday to extend the deadline before the law’s prohibitions take effect, so we can reach an agreement to protect our national security. The order will also confirm that there will be no liability for any company that helped keep TikTok from going dark before my order. »
Trump said Americans deserve access to the upcoming inauguration and related events. He proposed a joint venture with 50% US ownership to secure TikTok’s future, saying it would save the app, ensure good management and unlock immense value, subject to US approval for the agreement.
