While San Diego Comic-Con gets most of the national and even international attention, Southern nerds tend to flock to a completely different fan convention: Dragon Con, the non-stop, five-day celebration of everything cheesy. Sure, it’s filled with the usual trappings like panels and vendor rooms, but everything has the boozy, dazed swing of a never-ending party. So much so, in fact, that Battlestar Galactic Reboot icons Edward James Olmos and Aaron Douglas felt inspired to tell a story in front of a room full of fans about how the latter actor accidentally exposed his penis to a sound guy in a particularly raunchy romp.
This Battlestar Galactic The blooper story began with a basic explanation of how the actors had to have microphones attached to their costumes so their dialogue could be heard. A wire was usually placed on part of an actor’s clothing and connected to a power supply in an inconspicuous location. For example, on an actor’s boots for a scene where the boots will not be visible. None of this would have been a problem for the poor soundman if Douglas hadn’t had a strange tendency to go commando on set.
Battlestar Galactica Bloopers
Douglas began his portion of this story by saying that a popular fan question he gets asked at conventions is whether he wears boxers or briefs, to which he cheerfully responds “neither ‘other “. This strange admission quickly became relevant, as the actor described his lateness to Battlestar Galactic together; he showed up on the hangar deck in his familiar orange jumpsuit, setting the stage for some unintentionally hilarious silliness. He ran the audio cord up his leg, and Graham – a particularly tall soundman – was kneeling on the floor, preparing to attach the power pack to the actor’s boot.
It was all business as usual for all the cast and crew, and Douglas continued to chat with various people while his microphone was connected. For reasons he never fully explained, the actor suddenly decided to strike a Superman pose, which caused his suit to slip. For most actors this would have been only mildly embarrassing, but as it Battlestar Galactic The actor hated wearing his underwear so he exposed his entire naked body, creating a blooper that was too spicy to share with fans.
Adama saves the day

Incredibly, Douglas didn’t realize anything was wrong until he felt his penis come into contact with something, which he described as a “bonk”. He belatedly had a very disturbing thought: “That shouldn’t have touched anything…it shouldn’t have touched something hot and fleshy.” » As the rest of the cast and crew began to focus on what had happened, Douglas looked down and saw the poor soundman, Graham, looking horrified both at his proximity and at his recent contact with the actor’s penis.
On the Battlestar Galactic All in all, it was a strange moment that could have been quite traumatic for everyone involved. Luckily, the series’ former commander delivered the perfect punchline to instantly burst all the tension in the room. Much to Douglas’s amusement and horror, Edward James Olmos summed up exactly what happened in the funniest way possible: “Aaron just knocked the sound guy out cold!”
During the Dragon Con panel, hearing his own punchline delivered by Douglas (with a funny imitation of the older man’s deep voice) made Olmos laugh, and he couldn’t help but hold his fingers inches apart to indicate that the other actor… uh… Viper wasn’t that tall. Rather than taking offense, Douglas responded with a quip straight out of Seinfeld: “I was in the swimming pool!” From start to finish, this story demonstrates the strangely funny chemistry between Battlestar Galactic casting, although it’s such raunchy nonsense that even the lords of Kobol will never reveal it to you.
