Born Again Episode 8 Recycles A Bullseye Moment From The Netflix Series

This message contains spoilers For “Daredevil: Born Again” Episode 8.

When the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen returned all these weeks ago in “Daredevil: Born Again”, it was not alone. Stop to provoke chaos and add one more killing to its success list with The death of Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) was Benjamin Poindexter, alias Bullseye (Wilson Bethel). Well, now, the man who ended half of the lawyers in law left the slammer and, in no time, set the dial on the new mayor of New York, Wilson Fisk (Vincent d’Onofrio). The music played, Champagne poured out and a special day was ruined with the kind authorization of a former Fisk ally who was aiming for the most powerful man in New York. Call us crazy, but doesn’t that seem very familiar?

Back at the end of the third “Daredevil” season of Netflix, Poindexter, having become wise to the corruption and mistreatment of Fisk of his talents (although it did not take much), lit the man who, according to him, helped him spectacularly. In a violent act of revenge during the marriage of Wilson and Vanessa Fisk, Dex carried out a deadly outburst, to eliminate the evening and to kill a certain number of FBI agents in the process.

Although the number of bodies may not have been as big in the new Disney +season, there is something that seems incredibly old on how things have been going on, and it could see the end “Daredevil: Born Again” on a rager note than expected.

Bullseye’s attack draws holes in Daredevil: Born again

In what is a clear case of the story repeating itself, Bullseye’s action makes him feel like Another wasted character, just like Muse And The story that went with him. At best, this could have been an intelligent case of the program referring to the past with a bullseye shedding light on previous errors and transforming into an even more rewarding watch for the public. Instead, he highlights other problems in history, in particular the big bad guy of “Daredevil: Born again” not as clear as they are.

Is the security detail covering Fisk really so bad? Did Kingpin’s time lower his guard so low that he didn’t even consider someone dead because Poindexter could take him a chance, whether he had freed himself or not? Is Bullseye as so lazy to re-tackle the same thing he did so long ago? Why not wait and strike once the mayor dropped his guard and is, above all, nowhere near a blind lawyer who is cool to take a bullet for him?

The change of dance partners and Murdock’s obsession for his longtime rival was convincing enough without the rather trivial overhaul of Bullseye taking another blow on Fisk. Our only hope is that following Matt Murdock’s shocking dive this week, “Daredevil: Born again” mixes things after this little bad blow of a bad guy who should, at this stage, be more on the target than ever.
