One of the most popular characters of Star Trek is the O’Brien chef, who has gone from a minor support character The next generation be one of the main members of the distribution on New deep space. He is a relatable character for many reasons, including the fact that he is a father who prefers to relax with his wife and children rather than exploring strange worlds. However, most fans might not be able to relate exactly to the wedding of O’Brien, and it is because the chef met and married his wife only one -year -oldThis makes it one of the fastest couples in the galaxy.
Now, this small detail on the marriage of chef O’Brien is not included in any broadcast episode … Instead, it is actually hidden in the deleted scenes of the episode of season 3 of TNG “The Price”. In this scene, O’Brien discusses a girlfriend by the name of Mitzi with the adviser Troi. We are not presented in Keiko before the episode of season 4 “Data’s Day”, where she married with the head of the favorite carrier of everyone. Their romance on the screen is sweet … so soft that you could miss the shocking fact that O’Brien has met, dated and married someone in about a year, something that would seem unthinkable at most Star Trek Fans who look at home.
The marriage of the O’Briens also quickly moves in other ways: for example, less than a year after married on board the company, the two welcomed their first child, Molly, in the world. Obviously, there is no “good” delay for couples to have children, but it is a bit surprising that these newlyweds have become parents only two years after their meeting. Doubly surprising because the company seemed to be a much more dangerous house for children than, let’s say, a space station.
Speaking of this, the next major step in the Wedding of the O’Briens was to go to Deep Space Nine, which occurred a little more than a year after the birth of Molly. In general, it made sense … Before the Gajoran Ver Bajoran hole, DS9 was the kind of safe and slightly impassive mission where the chief could raise his family safely. However, we cannot overcome the fact that he and Keiko met, have married, became parents and left everything behind them, all in a period of about three years.
However, the fans who really know the O’Brien chef may not be so surprised by these marriage details because he is a character who has always known exactly what he wants with life … The kind of guy who deliberately stayed a man enrolled because he did not want to endure the official Starfleet dinners to whom the police must attend.
