Actress Kelly Marie Tran is in a much better place for years after finishing her role as a mechanic of Tico pink resistance in the “Star Wars“Franchise.
The character appeared for the first time in “The Last Jedi” of 2017 and made his latest appearance in “The Rise of Skywalker” of 2019, which marks the latest film “Star Wars” to strike theaters.
Tran moved away from social media following the reactions she was faced at the time, but she is now talking about how she was “persecuted” by the Fandom in an interview promoting her new film, “The Wedding Banquet”.

While promoting her new film, Tran tackled the criticism she faced by fans of “Star Wars” in the last two films of the Skywalker saga.
“I was already ridiculed. There were comments on my race or comments on the fact that I am a woman. I already felt like I was persecuted for these things,” shared Tran with Weekly entertainmentNote how it affected her decision to release publicly as a queer woman.
“Now I’m like, I’m going to go out publicly? It was a complicated thing to think,” she continued. “But I’m going to quote Lily Gladstone here, someone I like a lot and I learned so much. She says that joy is an act of resistance. And I think it’s really true.”

Tran reveals that his time in “Star Wars” led him to seek therapy

In fact, she revealed that she had ended up going to therapy in order to deal with the amount of negativity she faced online. “I am so happy to be able to live authentically and to no longer have this specific experience to inform the decisions I make,” she said, adding “and that This is why we are going to therapy!
