Each corner of the Internet had a say when “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” was released, with stronger voices than others. Last weekend, he clearly indicated that, despite all the mockery surrounding the third chapter of the prequel trilogy of George Lucas, Many people were more than happy to see him again in theaters to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film. Some of the purest fans of “Star Wars” seem to forget that a whole generation has grown with prequelles in the same way as the original trilogy.

Watch “Revenge of the Sith” in a theater made me feel again like a child. I was able to recognize the notable gaps of the film (like its bancal composits and clumsy line deliveries), while recognizing the heart and emotion very present at the center of all this. His imperfections make him strangely more endearing. You cannot confuse this film as something other than the film that Lucas wanted to make from the start, a Greek tragedy for children completed by the Opera Hauts of John Williams. If we are talking about the performance that has the most impact, however, it is the Scottish actor Ian McDiarmid as alone and the only Emperor Sheev Palpatine.
Although the dreaded head of the Galactic Empire is initially Played by Marjorie Eaton and Clive Revill in “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back,” It is the turn of McDiarmid in “Return of the Jedi” which really made the global antagonist of the franchise an all-time film. The formidable Sith Lord was present on various mediums of the tradition of “Star Wars” with many actors in the voice in turn, but nothing beats the tonal balance of political intrigues and landscapes to hide the McDiarammid monster.

So yes, given how it is not at all rare that the characters in the universe “Star Wars” obtain their own shows, he should not surprise that Palpatine has almost received one of his family.
The series would probably have focused on Palpatine’s ties with Dark Plagueis le Sage
When McDiarmid was interviewed by Variety For the 20th anniversary of “the revenge of the Sith”, he explained the good times had played the brain behind the tower of Anakin Skywalker from the good to Evil. When asked if he could light up the details concerning the unparalleled television program, McDiarmid indicated that he would probably involve the learning of Palpatine with Dark Plagueis the Sage, but did not know exactly more than that:

“It is quite obvious that my character murdered Plagueis on his way to become a palpatine. But beyond that, no. With George, you have not really discussed anything. The actors to continue.”
It would not be so surprising to see McDiarmid come back because he played the infamous Sith Lord for a better part of 42 years now. The character made appearances in just about all “Star Wars” television shows, Barring the most founded “Andor”. And then there is all that with Palpatine’s confusing return to “The Rise of Skywalker” To try to push all the buttons of nostalgia.

With all this in mind, it is interesting to see how little we know the dreaded story of Dark Sidious before the events of “The Phantom Threate”. The mystery is not entirely a bad thing, but it is not surprising that the basis of a television show would be built on One of the best scenes of “Revenge of the Sith”, “ Where Palpatine tells the tragedy of Dark Plague is the sage, a Sith Lord who was able to contain Midi-Chloriens to prevent death. It is an obsessive sequence where the thin plating between Chancellor and Sith begins to decompose. Palpatine has only a few opportunities to plant your seeds in the mind of Young Skywalker, and McDiarmid does an excellent job to speak everything while refusing to name his role in the disappearance of Plagueis.
The acolyte gave Dark Plagueis his first appearance on the screen
For those who wanted a TV series Dark Sidious / Palpatine, “The Acolyte” is both a blessing and a curse. It is a defective show, without a doubt, but he presented interesting ideas on myths surrounding what means to join the dark side. At the end of the season, a mysterious figure in a dress hidden in a cave turns out to be other than Dark Plagueis, marking his first live appearance in the “Star Wars” franchise.

Given “the acolyte” takes place 90 years before “The Phantom threatens”, this little taase presented an opportunity to explore a figure We have only really learned through James Luceno from the disronized novel“Star Wars: Dark Plagueis.” There is a good chance that it would probably have brought the palpatine at some point as apprentices, but the unhappy cancellation of the show leaves this thread in the air in the air. I would not worry too much, however; If there is one thing on which you can count with “Star Wars”, it is at each era between the stories filled with as many details as possible via points of sale such as video games, novels or comics. Palpatine will return … in one way or another.
