“I wrote songs inspired by people who people have no idea who they are,” Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio), 30, said in an interview with Time published Sunday January 5. “The meaning of the song can vary on many things, such as the absence of a person who is no longer with you, or of a love. But it can also be about many other things that no longer exist.”
In particular, the album’s titular song, “DtMF,” deals with feelings of regret over a relationship, while also trying to make peace with its end. Bad Bunny and Jenner, 28, were first romantically involved in February 2023 when they were spotted on a date in Beverly Hills. The couple then attended the Met Gala in May of the same year. Until their separation in December 2023 after less than a year of datingthe couple has largely kept their romance out of the public eye.

“Sometimes you might be a little nostalgic, a little sentimental… But at the same time, you like something else: playing dominoes with your grandparents or with your family,” he says. “As we are also in Puerto Rico, we are at home, we are with the group: it is a reason to be happy, to be content.”
