His wife, Sarah Wright Olsenshared a carousel of photos via Instagram on Friday, January 10, highlighting the damage caused to the couple’s neighborhood.
“It’s impossible to put into words these last few days. We are together, safe and surrounded by love,” she wrote in the caption. “Thank you to Uncle Dave and Aunt Dani who took so many of us in. We lost our home. C was one of the first areas to explore.
Eric, 47, and Sarah, 41, share three children, Wyatt Oliver, 11, Esmé Olivia, 8, and Winter Story, 4.
“Our kids said ‘we all took our first steps there,'” the post continued. “It’s so hard to say goodbye to our beautiful city, our special school and this place we have loved for 13 years. But we are so grateful to be together and for the outpouring of love.
“We have received so many messages from friends offering their homes, food, clothes, hugs, things for the kids, support and we are just blown away 😭,” she added. “That’s what never stops making us cry. Thank you, this means so much to us. More soon. ❤️.
Sarah’s post received more than 1,200 comments, with many celebrities sending their best wishes to the family.
“I can’t imagine how you feel right now,” the actress wrote Robin Tunney. “You are so strong and [solid] family unit, I know you will prosper, but that can’t make the shock any easier right now.
Hilary Duff added: “Oh my God, my God. 😞 send mountains of love”, while Christie Brinkley commented: “I’m so sorry to see this but I’m so happy you’re all safe together. ❤️🩹”
THE Wildfires in Los Angeles have killed at least 27 people to date and destroyed more than 12,300 structures. The Pacific Palisades Fire, which was 22% contained as of Thursday, Jan. 16, affected many celebrities as it ravaged the affluent residential neighborhood. Besides Eric and his family, Paris Hilton, Heidi Monday And Spencer Pratt, Billy Crystal, Leighton Meester And Adam Brody and still others lost their homes.
Many, including those who had to evacuate or had their homes burned to the ground, stepped up to help those in need during the fires. Jamie Lee Curtiswho said about The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this month that “everything” in his community had been destroyed, pledged $1 million to relief efforts.
Eva Longoria And Beyoncé are among other celebrities to make seven-figure contributions, while some chipped in by donating their time and supplies. Jay Leno spent time on Monday, January 13, serving food to Los Angeles firefighters, while Jessica Alba helped the non-profit organization Baby2Baby prepare hygiene kits for children in the event of a fire.
