The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville has opened up about a shocking health ordeal that left fans concerned after she posted a photo of her severely swollen face on social media.

The 52-year-old reality star claimed she was battling a “parasite that jumps around my face” and was suffering from extreme facial swelling caused by what some doctors called angio- stress-induced edema.

“What happened? I wish I knew,” Brandi wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I’ve been in and out of the hospital over the last year and a half and have spent almost every dollar I have trying to figure it out. Some doctors say I have a parasite jumping in my face. Some say it’s stress-induced edema. Personally, I say it’s Bravo.

Health scare triggers emergency response

Brandi Fans were first alarmed in October 2023 when she collapsed at home, forcing her son to call 911. According to Entertainment Tonight, her face “exploded like a basketball” with swelling so severe that her eyes were swollen and closed, leaving her almost blind.
